ONLINE Shopping ! Make money back on your purchases!!! LOVE IT!

I love looking on line for fun gifts. I guess you could say I am an online shopping addict!

My latest find is Rue La La , click here and sign up! Its FREE and Fun. It has a little bit of everything and sometimes they have awesome little sales!

Another awesome one is Ebates click here to sign up! What I love about this one is you get money back when you click on the stores you like and when you make a purchase they add money back to your Ebates account it depends on what  you buy but those nickels and dimes add up..

For instance I buy a lot through Ebay and Avon.. When I win an auction through Ebay or purchase It gives me money back that goes into my Ebates account. When it adds up you can request a check.. Another one I love to do is I buy from AVON online. I buy from a friends website. When I make a purchase from her site I not only help  her but I  make money back too! On my own purchase!!! Way too FUN!

Make sure before you go to make a purchase go to Ebates (after you register) before you go to a store and shop so you will get your credit, click on the store you want to shop !! There are a lot! Then in a couple days they will add a percentage of your purchase back to your account!!

These fabulous dish scrubbies are crocheted using 100% color-fast cotton. They will not bleed on your dishes or surfaces when you get them wet. The yarn I chose for these scrubbies is tough enough to tackle stuck-on messes but gentle enough that it won't scratch even the most delicate of dishware.

This beautiful lap quilt measures 60" x 70". It is machine quilted along the seams to give the quilt a tuffed look and makes it very durable. The binding is handstitched for a professional finish. The combination of aqua and brown is very popular. When I showed the quilt to my friend, she described it in one word, "Striking."

Coupon Queen!

WOW! What A Week!!!

THANK GOD IT IS FRIDAY!  Can I get a witness?

Sorry I have not been on in a while! My life seems a bit crazy right now, but I believe GOD sends us through a storm at time to remind us this life is not easy but somehow somewhere Sunshine and roses always appear...

My kids make me crazy, but I love them so much! Why is it that when are kids are hurt emotionally we turn into bulldogs? Sometimes other kids can be so hurtful but when an adult hurts my kids feeling I want to rip their heads off! lol Well I guess you can see where my week ended! Things are fine now but someone out there has my teeth marks on their butt where I chewed for a while!  lol Yes I did ask GOD to give me strength and guidance! That is why I remained calm! ANY how life goes on . and GOD is GOOD all the TIME!

Coupon Newbie lol!

I have recently become addicted to the new show Extreme Couponing!  Where simple peeps save money by using coupons!!! WOW!! like the other nite 's episode they spend like 300 dollars and after coupons it cost them like 13.dollars. Super WOW!

Ok so the other day with coupons in hand and my sales add from other store and my 16 yr old son in tow...I set out for the adventure.... I WAS GOING SAVE MONEY!!! for example
This newbie had a coupon for .75 for birds eye frozen vegi's but I had to buy three... They were priced over a dollar each BUT big BUT I price match them from the other local store at .78. SO ( drum roll please) I paid .78 cents each for two and received the third for .03 cents!!!! ( applause) thank you very much!

If you knew me I am not real good with money or numbers (actually I hate number, think about it numbers hurt sometimes. example our age, total amount of bill's, etc)...

My son fussed at me for holding up the line price comparing and using my coupon's not to mention the lil old lady who checked me out complained I was making her work to hard just to save ME money!! HOw dare I do that to her!!! Not to mention taking money from Sam Walton family (WAL MART)! I took $4.60 from the walton's! MY son complained saying "MOM you did all that just to save $4.00? " Well to my favorite 1st born child!!! That $4.00 is the one gallon of milk you yourself drink each week or The gallon of gas you need in your vehicle !!!

Again I am a coupon newbie! If you have in Awesome things to contribute to help me and other's survive in this sucky economy plz pass them on here!!!

This is the link wher you can watch EXTREME COUPONING clips!!!!

Making Soap!

There has been a lot of buzz going around lately about people making their own laundry detergent.
I will be the first to admit that this was silly idea to me! I truely love the smell of my clothes washed in GAIN and of course dried in GAIN fabric sheets as well!

But hey lets all admit times are truely getting rough! I hate it !!! So I broke down went to the dugger.com website ...... you know the family here in Arkansas with the 100 kids (( no really they have 19 or is it 20 or is she pregnant with number 20? oh heck who cares!
The Dugger's from the T.V show
19 Kids and Counting

The Dugger's have some really good recipe's and the recipe for the Homemade laundry detergent is on there. You can make dry or liquid. I made 5 gallons of liquid which cost me $4.00 and then you dilute that so $2.00 in 10 gallons of laundry soap! Ok so it does not smell like GAIN , but our clothes are clean and that is what counts.

This is the recipes, but please check out their site that have some other awesome recipe's!
Food recipe's

Homemade Liquid Laundry Soap- Front or top load machine- best value
4  Cups - hot tap water
1  Fels-Naptha soap bar
1 Cup - Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda*
½ Cup Borax
- Grate bar of soap and add to saucepan with water. Stir continually over medium-low heat until soap dissolves and is melted.
-Fill a 5 gallon bucket half full of hot tap water. Add melted soap, washing soda and Borax. Stir well until all powder is dissolved. Fill bucket to top with more hot water. Stir, cover and let sit overnight to thicken.
-Stir and fill a used, clean, laundry soap dispenser half full with soap and then fill rest of way with water. Shake before each use. (will gel)
-Optional: You can add 10-15 drops of essential oil per 2 gallons. Add once soap has cooled. Ideas: lavender, rosemary, tea tree oil.
-Yield: Liquid soap recipe makes 10 gallons.
-Top Load Machine- 5/8 Cup per load (Approx. 180 loads)
-Front Load Machines- ¼ Cup per load (Approx. 640 loads)
*Arm & Hammer "Super Washing Soda" - in some stores or may be purchased online here (at Meijer.com). Baking Soda will not work, nor will Arm & Hammer Detergent - It must be sodium carbonate!!

Powdered Laundry Detergent - Top load machine
1   Fels-Naptha soap bar
1  Cup - Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda*
½  Cup Borax
-Grate soap or break into pieces and process in a food processor until powdered. Mix all ingredients. For light load, use 1 Tablespoon. For heavy or heavily soiled load, use 2 Tablespoons. Yields: 3 Cups detergent. (Approx. 40 loads)
*Arm & Hammer "Super Washing Soda" - in some stores or may be purchased online here (at Meijer.com). Baking Soda will not work, nor will Arm & Hammer Detergent - It must be sodium carbonate!!

TIPS FOR LAUNDRY SOAP: We use Fels-Naptha  bar soap in the homemade soap recipes, but you can use Ivory, Sunlight, Kirk's Hardwater Castile or Zote bars. Don't use heavily perfumed soaps. We buy Fels-Naptha by the case from our local grocer or online. Washing Soda and Borax can often be found on the laundry or cleaning aisle. Recipe cost approx. $2 per batch.

I also have made Dishwasher detergent too... I will post tomorrow

My Mother found a lot of the ingrediants at the local hardware store.

MY next thing I want to make is the Fabric softner....

I want to start making other things too  I will post as I find them

Milk Bone Underwear!

I was born in the mid 60's. I don't really remember that time in my life but I do remember some things in my life that made an impact.... Like for instance... my sister ( who is 8 yrs older than me)... She loved Janice Joplin to this day I can hear her singing "Me and Bobby McGee" ... and she still Loves Janice Joplin.. I guess that would be my memory of the 70's...... And I know I have a lot more..... Like fav  TV shows.... and great memories of my parents.... The 80's well that was my time... I loved everything about that time..... the music ,,, the styles,, the super big hair and of course the makeup!!!  My dream was to be able to sit and talk with Boy George and discuss makeup tips and how he got his eyebrows drawn on just perfect...

I guess you are still curious about the title!!! Well one of my fav T V shows of that time was Cheers!!!! I loved when Norm when come in an the whole bar would say "NORM" and as he quickly walked up to the bar he always had a remark!!!! The best one of all time which I still use to this day!!!

"It's a Dog eat Dog world and I am wearing Milk bone underwear!"

After His Remark that summed up his day, He sat down at the bar where his beer was waiting and he drowned the sorrows of the day.   Good times!
